Salik Kashani

Salik Kashani, Mir Muhammad ‘Ali, a poet hailing from Kashan. The following couplets are by him:

Without your countenance, O pupil of the dwelling of the eye

The cup of the eye is brimming over with the wine of regret.

You’ve resided in another place and I,

I’ve whitewashed the dwelling of my house (figuratively I’ve awaited union with you).
