Sahib ‘Aliabadi, (Sahib Divan) Muhammad Taqi ibn Mirza Muhammad Zaki Mazandarani (d. 1840). Attached to the court of Fath’ali Shah, he was a poet versifying in the forms of qasida and ghazal with noms de plume Sahib and Sahib Divan. Having served as the chief of chancery of ‘Abd Allah Mirza, governor of Khamsa, Suhraward, and Sajas in his youth for a period of ten years, he was summoned to Tehran in 1818 and was appointed chief of chancery (munshi al-mamalik) by the king. His collection of poetry includes about 5,500 couplets.
