Shahri, ‘Abbas (1910-1990), son of Isma’il. Born in Tehran, he received his primary and secondary education in his hometown. He studied agriculture at the Faculty of Agriculture and received his BA in 1929. He held different offices and died in Tehran. He was a talented poet of delicate vigor, according particular significance to simplicity and fluency. He was mainly inclined towards and had mastery of composing mathnawi since they are mainly of moral and didactic nature. According to Rashha Isfahani’s biographical work (Tadhkira) in verse, Shahri had compiled a versified biography of his contemporary poets.
