Amir Mu‘izz, Firuzih (b. ca. 1941-)
Radio announcer between the years 1964-1979. She was the daughter of ‘Ali Riza Amir Mu‘izz, the researcher, journalist, and founder of the first cinema periodical in Iran entitled Hollywood. One may say without any unwarranted exaggeration and sentimentalism that the clear resonance of her voice, the correctness of her style of recitation of Persian classical poetry, coupled with the solemnity of tone of her declamation that is heard on all the Golha programmes from the time of Davud Pirniya’s directorship to that of Ibtihaj, drew to her and to the programmes numerous fans. Her voice is also available on the gramophone record titled Zindigi va asar-i ustad Abu’l-Hasan Saba (The Life and Works of Master Abu’l-Hasan Saba), Tehran: Kanun-i parvarish-i fikri-yi kudakan va nawjavanan [Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults] 1975.
