Zulfunun, Mahmud (1930)

Violin instrumentalist and instructor and composer. He began his musical studies in Shiraz and his family members were musicians of fame. He began his professional career on the radio in 1940 and at times joined the orchestras of the National Musical Society, National Conservatory, and the Gulha (1955-1966). He has composed different works and forms in Persian classical music and has been residing and active in the United States from 1975 onward and has also released a number of his works.
