Hasan Yusufzamani

Yusuf-zamani, Hasan (1933-2009)

Composer and instrumentalist performing on the violin and viola in the Golha orchestra programmes from early 1961 to mid-1971. Having received his musical education at the military conservatory in Sanandaj, Kurdestan, he studied Persian classical music with ‘Ali Tajvidi. The Yusuf-zamani brothers opened the earliest Kurdish music orchestra in the mid 1980s. One of his compositions appeared in Golha Taza 64. Hasan Yusuf-zamani was active in numerous orchestras and solo performances by him have also been released.
