‘Ali Akbarpur

Akbarpur, ‘Ali (1937-), violinist, composer, and instrumentalist who performed in the Grand Gulha Orchestra (1957-1970). As a renowned composer, he made use of folkloric themes from the northern Iranian province of Gilan to compose many a work for the Grand Gulha Orchestra. A number of his anonymous compositions were performed on the Gulha-yi Sahra’i programmes.
