Ashtari, Ahmad (1881-1953), Iranian poet who was also well-versed in painting, calligraphy, carpet design, and poetry. His nom de plume was Yikta ("Unique, unrivaled"). He studied painting in the school of Kamalulmulk who had a particular respect for him. Ashtari held government offices serving as prosecutor and governor of Gilan and deputies of justice, mayors offices.
