Khulqi Tabrizi (fl. 16th century), a poet hailing from Tabriz who traveled to Herat and studied there. He was a descendant of the Shaykhs of the House of Alanjiq. The following couplets are by him:
Many a thank for reunion with the beloved,
The sighs heaved by the heart and tears turned effectual.
If our exquisite sun had set,
It arose, thanks to fate’s aid.
Asar-afarinan (2/ 333).
