Niyaz Safavi (Isfahani)

Biography

Niyazi Isfahani, Ahmad Mirza (d. 1773 or 1774), son of Mirza Sayyid Murtaza. A poet with the nom de plume Niyazi. His father was the son-in-law and vizier of Shah Sultan Husayn and Niyazi was the nephew and son-in-law of Shah Tahmasb. He was a talented poet and it is reported that his contemporary poets sent him their poetry for correction. His works include his diwan of poetry.
